This medal can be awarded to any member or former member of the scouting movement worldwide. The Scouting Medal is often awarded to recognise long service or to mark unique or outstanding contribution. Applications can be made by the individual themselves, groups, organisations or associations - next of kin, direct decedents and other family members may also apply.
